“We Get That Question All the Time!”

Can I Afford It?

Tuition is a lot more affordable than you may think. If you want to attend, we want to help make that happen for you. Your admissions counselor will be there to help every step of the way: For example, if you need assistance paying the $40 application fee, just let your counselor know.

You invest in us, and we likewise invest deeply in you. That means we’re working hard for you to get access to federal, state, and institutional aid in the form of grants, loans, need-based and merit-based scholarships, as well as work-study and other programs. Ͽϲͼ 93% of undergraduates receive some form of financial aid – why not you? The average financial aid package is around $20,000 per year. Just make sure to get your application in early and submit your FAFSA.

Is California a Safe Place to Go to College?

We encourage you to come and visit and see for yourself. The TMU campus is in the private Placerita Canyon, surrounded by horse and hiking trails. Located mere miles from beaches, mountains, desert, and the endless opportunities of Los Angeles, Santa Clarita was again ranked among the nation’s top 10 safest cities. The campus is also consistently top-ranked as the safest college campus in America, making it the perfect environment to attend school.

  • Top 3% Safest College Campuses in America (Niche 2021)
  • 3rd safest city in the US (2020)

How Do Employers and Graduate Schools Perceive TMU?

With the high the demand of employers for top talent, many TMU students often have multiple offers before they graduate. Employers seek out not only our graduate’s skills but, more importantly, their integrity and work ethics rooted in an uncompromisingly biblical worldview.

Across many disciplines and programs, TMU students largely find success after graduation:

  • Teaching Credential students enjoy a nearly100% job placement rate.
  • Graduates from our School of Humanities have been accepted in 7 of the 10 top law schools.
  • Kinesiology graduates have been accepted to 29 graduate schools since 2007
  • Pre-Med students have a 95% medical school acceptance rate.

This success is partly attributed to small classes, faculty mentorship, classes taught by faculty and not by teaching assistants, and rigorous academics found in every major and program. With over 400 graduates each year across 20+ undergraduate majors and 150+ program options, and graduate programs like the MBA and MABC, alumni are sought after by many organizations and companies due to the students’ excellent reputation. We’ve highlighted some of those employers here.

What Does Student Life Look Like?

There’s always something happening at TMU. Join a club, play an intramural sport, be part of theatre productions, attend campus-wide events, and so much more. While activities, athletics, dorm life, and outreach are a part of daily life, our approximately 1,200 undergraduates on-campus live in an intentional community to comprehensively develop godly lives marked by the four Distinctives of Biblical Living: Divine Authority, Heart Transformation, Sanctifying Relationships, and Gospel Witness. We strive to faithfully develop leaders who are salt and light in the world because of our great Savior.
